Additional Local Regulations and Customs

Lake City has a wildlife protection ordinance that prohibits the feeding of wildlife.  Please do not feed wild animals.  Bears, in particular, are an increasing nuisance in Lake City and feeding them could result in their destruction.

Please refrain from activities that produce loud noises and playing loud music or musical instruments from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Residents and visitors appreciate our very dark, nighttime sky that allows full view of the stars and other celestial bodies.  Please avoid the prolonged use of bright outdoor lighting that may wash out the nighttime sky.
