Lake City Ice Climbs
Lake City Ice Park clings to the cliffs above Henson Creek at the south edge of Town as Bluff Street turns into County Road 20 and offers 4 ice climbing areas with mixed grades WI-3 and up. Pumphouse Park has approximately 15+ routes with 60 to 100 foot pitches. Devil's Kitchen has another 20 or more multi-pitch routes with lots of gullies. Dynamite Shack is the tallest of all the areas with many more routes ranging in height from 120 feet to 200 feet high. Beer Garden is approximately a half mile up Henson Creek Road and it is about 800 feet wide with heights ranging from 70 feet to 110 feet. We are currently working on a Dynamite Shack extension and a large expansion of more than 1000 feet of wall farther upstream from Beer Garden that should be complete no later than the 2026/2027 season.

Ice Skating and Ice Hockey
When temperatures allow, the Town of Lake City maintains an excellent outdoor ice rink for skaters of all skill levels and interests. Located on the west side of the historic Armory building and Town Hall, the rink is near the intersection of Bluff and 3rd streets. Ice skates are available for use, first come first serve.
